2014 Ford Edge

I am thrilled to have my sunroof operating again! Seeing that Ford wanted $800 to repair a panaramic sunroof, I opted to do it myself. Less than $150 in parts and about 7 hours of time and my roof was fixed. The biggest concern for me was having to drop the headliner but after watching numerous videos on You Tube I took the plunge. To me, having to drop the headliner was the hardest part. Once the headliner was down, it only took me about an hour and a half to unscrew both rails and replace both guides. Putting the headliner back up was easier and took less time. After “initializing” the roof, it works as good as new. If you are unsure about trying this repair, do some research and with time and patience your panaramic roof could be operating like new.

Fixed!

I was surprised how much the price has increased since last year... $169+tax/shipping now... The part worked better than original and is a great solution. I did have trouble with the reset procedure... ended up having to disconnect the battery to hard reset things.. but then worked fine! I just wish the price was closer to all the other reviews from earlier this year. Product itself is perfection.

What a GODSEND!

I heard the dreaded crack and I small piece of plastic smacked me in the forehead. The panoramic sunroof on my edge wouldn’t close properly anymore. I did finally get it closed by shoving I’d down and forcing it while pressing the switch. I took the vehicle to the local Ford service department and was told it would cost $3000 to repair. Seriously?!?! Then I did what everyone does and searched the internet for a solution and found the entire assembly from the factory for several hundred dollars. Then by some miracle I stumbled across a YouTube video of a fella fixing his panoramic sunroof with these aluminum parts and a link to this product. The handy video linked on this page gave me the confidence I needed to pull the trigger. 4 hours and $140 later my sunroof works like new! AND since the guides are aluminum and not cheap plastic, I feel confident I won’t have this problem again for a LONG time, if ever. Thanks SO much for seeing the need for this part and distributing it! It’s a GODSEND for DIYers!

Perfect Item!!!

To the person that created this repair kit - THANK YOU!!!! I can’t express how honored I am to have these parts! My 08 Edge snapped the plastic guides in the rain on a long road trip - I was quoted $2000.00 from a local shop to fix my stuck open roof - I immediately scoured the earth for an alternative route - after finding this website and studying the parts and videos posted by others that went through the repair I am pleasantly pleased to state I fixed this by myself for just the cost of this kit and a Saturday morning in my driveway! IF YOU OWN A VISTA SUNROOF BUY THIS KIT!! The plastic original parts are designed to fail! I’m totally amazed at the high quality machined and coated aluminum parts in the kit!! 10 out of 10! Well worth the money! I’m telling all of the people I see with an Edge or MKZ about this kit!! You all are awesome this is what we need more of - common sense engineering of products!!! Once again -THANK YOU!!!

Ford edge sun roof clips

This. Product works great I ordered it on a Wednesday had it on Friday. put it in on a Saturday took. 5 hours. To get to to do simple clip. Replacement I had. Too pull the headliner completely out of the car. Would. Recommend too everyone needed this repair ford. Told. Me car was a total. Loss. For less thr 160 dollar with shipping sun roof works. Better. Then it ever. Did. And the. Plastic clips ford sells a straight up junk and overpriced
