The motors are located in the front of the opening. They are prone to getting wet when the front drain tubes are clogged and not draining properly. Water causes the control module on the motors to fail. We see a higher failure rate on the glass motors than the sunshade motors. Both motors are identical, but the location of the glass motor makes it more likely to get wet when the drain tubes are clogged. We suggest trying to recalibrate the motor before replacing it. MOTOR CALIBRATION PROCEDURE:This procedure works for both the glass and sunshade motors. 1. Open the driver OR passenger front door.2. Turn the ignition to the ON position.3. Complete the following within 5 seconds: Cycle the ignition to the OFF position and then back to the ON position. Push the TILT switch for less than one second and release. Push and hold the TILT switch until glass opens and closes. (This could take up to 20 seconds to start).4. Release the switch and verify successful initialization by carrying out one-touch open, one-touch close and one-touch vent operations.
