PANORAMIC SUNROOF SUNSHADE CABLE SET

Replacement sunshade cable set. The sunshade cables normally do not need to be replaced. The molded cable ends that the sunshade attach to can break in some circumstances. Our replacement cables were removed from new assemblies to create service parts for our customers.

The sunshade cables can be installed while the assembly is in the vehicle. Installation requires dropping the headliner and removing the sunshade motor. There is a pop rivet at the front of each side that secures the sunshade cable retaining rail. After the rivets are removed, the aluminum retaining rail can be flexed upward to allow sunshade cable removal and reinstallation. The pop rivets must be replaced after installing the replacement cables.

The sunroof motors will need to be recalibrated after assembly. The sunroof glass must be installed during calibration.
